Stitch, we can read and understand just fine.

What we could NOT understand is the question we were asking ourselves "Why does his SSEi have 4x6 speakers when they SHOULD have component 5.25 speakers" What he did was rely on information from the stereo department though it was semi-legitamate. If he said that he looked up this information from BB at the start, we could have corrected that misinformation the second or third post.

No worries Petra. I did the same thing when I started with the upgrades on the SLE when I had it. Sucks that a major electronics outlet doesn't have ALL the facts

you could do a search for my 6.5" install. Different door panel but I hid mine behind the door panel completely so that unless you noticed the excess bass/rattling and better highs you wouldn't know I had 6.5" components.

I mounted some 7" mids behind the door panels and you can see some of the mids but not the whole speaker, won`t this effect the sound of the mids? I have a 1996 bonnie SE the door has a 51/4" grill,I have my doors deaden very good I also have the mids mount on mdf spacers that are 3/4" thick sealed to the inside door frame...I guess I could mount the mids to the outside door panel and sound -deaden it but I would have the spacers on the outside and I need to make it look nice also where could i get grills to fit, the mids are Dayton RS 180-7" mids.
