93 CD Player
i bought a 93 CD player and when i plug it in it just reads 0:00 on the display weather its on or off. when you turn it on the volume bar appears on the bottom but doesnt adjust and none of the buttons will do anythign at all except pressing SET will make that light up on the screen for a second.... any one have ideas?
This is all I can offer, but I'd have to guess your failure is a bit more severe and 'root level' than this:

Sounds like the CDM Box may be shot
Devon do you have one of the old head units from the 89-91 SSE with the 5 band eq laying around?

All of the functions of the face and the like actually run through the CDM Box... If that doesn't correct it than there is a lot more thats wrong with the unit

okay i swapped it and still no difference. but i noticed everything works if i unplug the connector that dims the climate control and is the input for the steering wheel controls...can anyone confirm a difference in the wiring between 90 and 93 for that connector?
