Default 2K SSEi newbie

How do I tell if I have premium sound or not?

I've read that a lot of people have problems with bulbs burning out on the stock HU. Mine is out too. Do any HUs from other cars utilize the same connections and demensions of our dash? I was going to scour ebay to try and find a replacement.

Thanks,

because you have an SSEi that will get you the 8 Speaker Bose System, and yes that is the Premium sound for the Bonneville in the 00 Model Year

Default BOSE

When you turn on the HU you should see "BOSE" appear under the clock. That is the premium sound for the 2000 SSEi. I only have one bulb out on mine for the moment, so I'm not gonna worry about for now. There was a detailed post someone had with pictures of how they took apart the HU and replaced the little bulbs, if you search through this section you should find it.

The Aurora radio is a perfect swap with the Bonneville. Only problem is the entire display is a green/blue color. It won't match the SSEi dash. It doesn't have the issues with the bulbs burning out, either. It has a completely different type of display. Your best bet is to go aftermarket (double-din or single-din Receiver) or repair your bulbs in your current radio.

Nothing else? Just that Aurora?

I was hoping to use a factory deck with navigation from an escalade/h2....I'll keep researching.
