if you plug 2000 regal into the crutchfield thing it comes up with no module just reg late 90'* gm harness and dash kit, sounds like they didnt change to the newer thing until some time after 2000.

3a isnt much, sounds like an amp turn on or some kind of other turn on thing.

Andrei lets get few things straight here, you don’t need chimes module, you can’t buy a module for the chimes, there’* no other options lol

The module is used in factory amplified systems (like Bose and Monsoon), because the chimes are connected to the stock speakers via the amp, and you need the STOCK amp to get things working in a FACTORY amplified car. Since your car is not amplified from factory, all you need is just a simple harness, match the colours together and you're up

Your car is the same as my 2003 GTP. i installed an aftermarket in-dash, all I needed was what I showed you, simple harness, easy fitting dash kit, and the antenna adapter... eBay always been cheaper, check what you're paying there even after the discount

Post some links of the other things that are confusing you and i will tell you what they are for or if you need them.

Edit...going with the RS125'* for the rear full range, which are 5" instead of 4". These and the 6x9'* will have their own enclosures built out of 1/2" MDF in the rear deck below the deck pad.

Thanks! I sure hope it will sound good. The DIYMA guys don't like it all that much because its not ideal for front staging. I'm looking for a more of a "in the club" feel, and being able to have rear passengers enjoy the music too.

The Dayton 5" drivers. Those are full range.

hmmm... thats a differant setup. Components up front and full range out back.... is that what u were talking about when u said the DIY guys didnt like ur set up?

Well, I would have otherwise went with coaxials in the rear, but I got to thinking why it wouldn't sound just as good if I went with full range speakers instead.

I actually switched back over to the 4" since they have a better range. Still thinking about it but I think I'll just do two 4" daytons in the rear as the front 6.5 components should provide plenty of midbass.

The reason they didn't like my idea was because they believe very strongly in proper staging, where the sound comes from the front of the car as a front stage, and a rear stage is a bad thing unless its set up specifically to complement the front stage. Of course, they also assume that they're the only ones who will be listening to much of the music. Many of them only run front components and no rear speakers.
