I'm new here. I don't personally drive a Bonneville (I can hear the booing and hissing in the background!), though I am working on one with a friend. We just put a head unit in it a few days ago, and are planning numerous other audio mods, some other interior mods and some other tweaks. We're both members of the local car club, but most of them are ricers and drive imports, so I hit the internet looking for a larger source of knowledge. Little did I know how lucky I'd be!

I put this in here as I couldn't decide where else it would fit...this is sort of aftermarket electronics, so I figured this was as good a place as any for it. Sorry if I'm mistaken, feel free to move if you deem necessary.

While out for a drive testing the new head unit, he mentioned he'd always found it hard to control the temperature with the dials in the car. I took that at face value and continued with another conversation. When I got home, I hit eBay looking for some parts, and found a digital climate control from a 1994 Bonneville for sale for a reasonable price. I showed my friend, and he seemed interested. Neither of us are sure, however, if we'd be able to buy said digital climate control and put it into his 1993 B'ville SE without problem. That is to say, would it be a drop-in replacement? Would the wiring harnesses just unplug off his "analog" climate control, and plug into the back of the digital unit? Or would it be more involved than that?

I may very well be back with some more questions before we're done, and if it'* alright with my friend, I'll post some pictures here as we progress.

Holy crap...
I sent my friend that link, and I think it'* pretty well decided that he'* going to have to learn to work the dials better. I sort of expected something like that, but not nearly as involved.
