Huh? I think the seller of the car was more than generous with helping out with the problems. If it were a lot of other people, they would have just said "screw you, you're on your own to fix this." I think Adam did a great thing helping out as much as he has for these problems. He already feels guilty enough for all these problems happening without people saying stuff like he knew it was going to happen..

this is just too many problems for a 6 year old car. all these problems that andrew has been having with it has made my mind up for me to never buy a 00+ bonneville. (id trust another mercury mystique before that car sry to say )

ill be happy with a 87-99

No offense, but this is an ex-modded 00+ and was at one time the #3 Bonnie on the planet. To say that all 00+ are bad because one has problems after being abused beyond what GM intended (and yes I use abused in descriptive way not to say that Adam abused his car) is retarded.

Carry on.

He would be the one who posted 2 posts above the previous post you made bashing him. And yes, he has tried to help as much as possibly, but again, the car was bought knowing that it was raced and modded. While these things were unseen, they were not completely unexpected.

skidoox,

adam...the guy you were bashing, happens to be caminated (look for the scion in the sig)...who posted a couple of posts up. if you had been around to follow this whole story from the beginning, you would understand. it'* all good, just know that adam is a very good guy...and so is andrew...neither one of them had any inkling that these issues would crop up. we all hope andrew gets a lot of trouble-free miles from here on in.

The car was sold with a clear description that it had been abused/modded (same difference) it went for $4....one on ebay with more miles and worse condition just went for $6.......(IMO when anyone digs into the internals that is abuse and will come back to haunt in the end but that is obviously to be expected)

However as of right now it has fresh motor and trans in it and should be good for a long time to come.

AS for ZZP bashing I will keep my mouth shut on that one.

Just so you know the age of the car often has little to do with the problems it might encounter...

Everyone can have opinions and yes the 2000+ have their fair share of problems like the steering shaft, wheel bearings, leaks, window regulators, etc.

However 92-99 have common problems with leaks, alternators, Computer command ride, wheel bearings, transmission reliablity issues....the list goes on

Potato for Potato is really depends on how the car was cared for, the location, etc to determine what issues you are going to have. There are lots of 2000+ cars on this forum that have been going 10s of thousands of miles with minimal problems.

Any car with as many options/performance/technology as a bonnie is destined to have problems and stuff is going to break....
