yeah i took it for a test drive today really nice if i may say so, on the highway no problems there and it rained like cats and dogs and inside the trunk was dry, so its either going to be that 02 model, or theres a 03 2 hours away from me thats in the same ball park as far as price so im not sure yet

There may also be another potential water leak problem in the front doors. There have been a few cases called out (myself included) in the forum here where the water deflectors in the doors would fail. This fault will allow water to come in over the sill (carpet retainer) onto the floor and soak the carpets after heavy rain.

Pay close attentio to the steering. Any clicks, pops, etc... are signs that you migt need to have the assebmly luricated per a TSB. Otherwise, I would assume that whoever traded it in got tired of paying to put premium in the tank every fill-up and bought some econobox.

Watch the rear window regulators too. Check all the power windows. We've had a few problems with those.

I don't think the dealerships "take ownership" of the vehicle when it is on their lot. Good chance it was with a leasing company, rental car company, and one owner. That'* how mine was. Mine is a 2002, but it was built in August of 2001 (1/2 year). It had 38,000 miles on it when I purchased it (October of 2002) and had two owners before me.
