Lightly oil the bearings on each of your idlers and tensioners. See if the noise goes away. Bearings can be affected by heat as well.

If that makes no difference, do a cold start for a minute or two at the most with one or the other belt removed and try to isolate it to a particular belt path or neither.

Just out of curiosity ,what causes pcv to make noise, are you talking about the little valve being stuck or it not being seated properly.

Both...it usually shows up not being seated with the O rings properly. And sounds like a whistle.

I just had mine at the dealer last week for the same thing. They apparently replaced some pullys under warranty and it is fine now.

Tell me what you find out. I have what sounds like the same problem.

I dont want to go too far but,
Are you using more coolant than usual?
Can you see some leaking near the lower intake manifolds?

If yes, it can be your lifters that are gummed due to coolant going into the engine, and causing chimical reaction , my previous engine did that. Clicking was going away with heat.

I just say that because i know everything can happen.

Default belts

Check the obvious, Belts for cracks, tensioners for noise water pump for play.
Could help to have someone stand by the belts while you start it cold to isolate where its coming from.

I apologize for not updating this sooner. I had the upper and lower intake gaskets replaced (dumping coolant and it wasn't leaking out anywhere visibly). After that was done, the noise has gone away. I won't be convinced that that fixed the problem until the weather gets cold again, but ever since I got it back from the dealer it has been purring like a kitten. I'm pretty concerned about any coolan that may have leaked into the motor, but I still have about 2 years on my extended warranty so hopefully if something is going to fail it will by then!

Take an oil sample and send to Blackstone Labs for analysis. It is worth the $20 cost. They measure coolant in the oil as one of the tests.

Thanks...just filled out my test-kit application. Will it tell you what an acceptable level is? Or is ANY coolant unacceptable?
