Default Running Rough at about 1700 rpm

Hi guys,

Got my transmission fixed and all is well with that. However, I now have an engine vibration at about 1700 rpm. The motor mounts have been checked and one replaced when the tranny was rebuilt. If you rev the engine, in park or neutral, to 1700 rpm, you can feel the vibration. Soon, I plan to change the plugs and wires and see how the plugs are firing (checking for any deposits, etc.). Is there any other items that I should check to eliminate this sputtering? This sputtering is not severe enough to turn on the Service Engine Soon Light. I have had the car scanned and there are no codes set in the computer. Any thoughts on types of plugs and wire replacement parts? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Matt

Plugs and wires are pretty cheap. Change them out and see if things don't settle down for you.

was it there before tranny job and is a vibration or rough running motor vibration could be flywheel unbalanced if they change it or maybe a missing tork converter bolt just toughts to ponder

Searcher,

Interestingly, the vibration was not there prior to the tranny change (at least not that I noticed). Tell me more about what you are thinking. Thanks.

Sounds like he'* thinking what I was kinda thinking. Pull the inspection cover and make sure all three of the bolts are in.
