Thanks guys. The reason I'm asking about the V8 is because my current engine is pushing 150,000 and feeling avery bit of it. I thought to spend a lot of money on an engine swap rather than spend a LOT of money on a new ride. So the GTO engine is out of the question? Well, having a mini corvette heart under the hood was just speculation from a guy who doesn't know much, lol. So, just for craps and giggles, how much power can I add with mods to my mostly stock SC engine, and how would it compare to a N* or to my dream 6.0 GTO/Vette engine?

At 150K my motor (same as yours) feels great and happy.
Do a major tune up.
NGK TR55 plugs
AC Delco or Belden wires
Pull off throttle body and clean..(you'll be surprised)
Get a 3.4 pulley for the supercharger
Gut the air box and put a panel K&N in there..
It'll feel fresh and ready to take on anything.
Or wait a little til I have tax money for bills and I can again spend it on a car instead

Oh, yes. Good 'ol Todd. I had the pleasure of getting my a$$ whipped by him at the Rockford, IL meet a couple of years ago, lol. My sign-on here was 'SOLID' back then. What does his car rank now?
