Default Rear Passenger window won't go up...

Hello all

I have a 2002 Bonneville and am havin problems with the window for the back door on the drivers side. It is down and currently won't go up. It looks like the window has come off of the supports that raise and lower it.
In order to fix it I think I need to remove the panel on the interior of the door. What is the easiest way to do this without damaging anything behind the panel?

Thanks in advance....any and all help is appreciated

i would bet your window regulator has failed........

use the search function type in window regulator, and search for all terms

First remove the plastic bezel piece on the door release lever, it snaps out. Start at the bottom edge of the interior door panel, work your way up both sides, finally, you will have to apply upward pressure to panel to free it from door frame. Disconnect wiring harness. Then you will have to carefully remove the water deflector without disturbing the butyl seal strip to gain access to regulator. Take your time, Good luck with it.

Yes this is a common problem. I agree with the rear window regulator! Good luck with it!

Default Rear Window doesn't go up....

Thanks to all for the responses.... It turned out that there were two problems... the motor for the window was faulty and the cable had broken...

yeah, when we say the "window regulator" it is the cable broken problem. It is one of the few very annoying issues with our bonnes.

Many 00+ people have found an ebay replacement to be higher quailty than an original equipment replacement.

I found new regulators for $150/each with a $30 core refund ($120 each total) on ebay. Shipped from some company in NC.

edit: $150, not $120 as I previously said. Here'* where I bought them from (phoned it in direct to their toll free #):
