Default Rear End Hop

Folks, 2000 SSEI with about 110k on it. It seems like the rear end of the car just isn't into the road as it should be. Rear Tire pressure is 30psi. The shocks appear to be functioning normally and the air adjust is functioning also. Are the rear shocks just plain old wore out? The problem is in mostly small bumps in the road. The car almost feels like it is going to jump side to side? Seems like it needs about 500 more pounds in the rear to make it behave. Thanks for the insight

Is this a recent development? At 110k, your shocks could very well need replacement. A good 4 wheel alignment wouldn't hurt, either.

Does the back end of the car look all jacked up? It may be that your suspension level sensor has malfunctioned and the air pump is loading up the rear air shocks... Not only will it make the back end jump out on you, but it'll also ride like a dump truck.

Default I noticed it when I drove it the first time:)

Ok, I shouldn;t say the first time, but after an extended drive on a trip. We bought the car about 7 months ago and it is my wife'* daily driver. I never really drove it as I like my Aurora. I finally drove it about 600 miles and noticed it then. The car seems to sit right, but I'm not really well versed on how an airshock wears out? Is it built like a normal shock and does it suffer the same type of failure? ie.....maybe they are just plain old wore out?

Yes, it is built like a normal shock, and then has an air assist to level the car. They wear out the same way as a regular shock.
