Paint bubble
My warrenty ran out long ago too. It is small enough now (end of a pencil) that I might try cleaning it up myself. I'll talk to a shop first for the best way to go at it. Must be the primer as some have no chips or other paint issues?

I still haven't heard back from the dealer but if I get any resistance to repairing the problem, I think I'll show him this thread so he knows this isn't an isolated problem. I'm not necessarily pushing for a new hood because I really just want the problem fixed one way or the other.
It'* good to know that the warranty is still valid for paint and corrosion. I looked around my car last night and never could find the warranty book.

All of you should go to the dealership, warranty or not. They may cover it given the circumstances. It'* worth it. And don't call, go visit personally with the car. It might be worth the hour of your time.
I believe that the corrosion warranty is 10yrs or 100,000 miles. Atleast that is what came up on my car ('01 SSEi) when I did a Carfax on it before I bought it. You may want to check it out. I would think that paint bubbling would be part of the corrosion warranty and repairable free of charge.
I 'm having the same problem with my hood.Car is going into the bodyshop on monday to have the hood repainted.I've had the car for a month now and so far the intermidiate steering shaft had to be replaced, drivers side seat heater elements replaced and now the hood repaint.Glad i'm not paying for it
