Default New to SSEi'*, couple ?'*

I just bought a 2003 SSEi and it has a couple of issues. The passenger heated seat doesn't work. The switch lights up then goes out right away. I have searched and found that the problem probably lies within the elements, correct? How do you test which one is bad, or do you have to buy all 3 from GM :( Any part numbers or sites to get them as cheap as possible? Also, if the radio backlights are burned out can't you just change the bulb? Like in a DIC on a 97+ Grand Prix? Any thoughts are welcome, and thank you all for the help. Austin

Underneath the passenger seat you'll find the Heated Seat Module-Front Passenger. Disconnect the C2 connector. Take an ohmeter, read between pins A & C. There should be continuity, I'm not sure of the resistance value though. There are two heat elements, one in the seat cushion & one in the seat back. There is also a thermistor imbedded in the seat cushion for temperature sensing, this can be checked by placing the meter across pins D & F.

How do you remove the HUD module from the dash? Does the plastic bezel around it pop off somehow? Thanks for the help thus far ! Austin

the panels usually are held in by a couple pop clips...

Wondering..why do you want to take the hud out? If it seems non functional...play with the switches a little...probably dirty.
