Default Need more info please!!

On a 2001 SLE:

- What is that metal plate fastened to the trunk floor under the carpet?

- What is the difference between series I and II engines?

- How would i go about finding out if this car had been recalled and problems repaired?

Thanks.

I think the metal plate is the access panel to the fuel pressure sensor.

Do a search for the Series I and Series II engine differences. There'* a few good lengthy threads that get'sd down to the nitty gritty. From what I know off the top of my head is different superchargers, different intake manifolds, and different wiring harness and PCM'*.

Access cover in trunk for fuel pump & fuel level sensor. The whole thing is one integrated assembly.
