Default Got Problems...Need Info...Please

My Bonne has got the SES light on, the tech II at the dealership said it was a coolant fan relay code, but they are both working, their suggestion was to replace the PCM. I was wondering what the easiest/cheapest/ fix was performance wise. Also I have a slow oil leak. I think its the rear main seal. How difficult is this job. What does it all entail. Thanks

Do you happen to have the code?

On the rear main seal, that is probably the rear engine cover behind the flywheel. it requires that either the engine or transmission come out of the car.

1652 is the high speed fans.

Do you have a high speed fan override of any type?
If not..check for grounding of the relay for the high speed fans. (Search my posts for it on my 97 and you'll find the wire to test).

That oil leak is fairly common..yes.

First ...I would quadruple check that circuit to ensure when you replace the pcm ..that fixes the issue.

Then... I believe that Intense'* pcm is a good value for the money. Haven't had experience with any others.
