Need Manual for 2001 SSEi for Intake Job
Finally contracted the infamous common Intake disease two days ago. Anyone with info on where I can obtain a manual quickly for a upper/lower intake gasket job please let me know. Just concerned with removal of the SC. The haynes manuals avail at CDN Tire & Parts Source are only for non-supercharged models. Anyone else with ideas of what is the best gasket kit to by or any tips they may have from doing this job, please chime in. Felpro is what CDN Tire sells here in Ontario
Thanks.
Bill

Remove the engine wiring harness heat shield.
Remove the fuel rail mounting bolts and the fuel rail with the injectors.
Disconnect the MAP sensor connector and hose.
Remove the MAP sensor bracket and bolts.
Remove the boost control solenoid.
Remove the air cleaner intake duct.
Remove the nuts securing the throttle body to the supercharger.
Remove the throttle body and position aside.
Remove the throttle body gasket.

Remove the supercharger from the intake manifold.
I didn't removed the T body from the */C. That saves you on price a bit. It will be heavier taking it out.
I did get the */C removed without anyhelp though
The torque spec to reinstall the bolts= 17 ft lbs <23 Nm>
The lower intake is really the same procedure as a K engine.
Hope that helps
