Default Magnaflow Cat

I was told by Magnaflow that the part number for the 2000 SE is 94806. But i dont know if this is direct replacement with flange, or a weld on type. Mine is shot and I need to replace it, and I need some help/Info.
Thanks

The 94806 is a universal hi-flow cat that will fit your Bonneville, meaning weld-on. The 94806 does not include the O2 bung. If you want that, you need to order #94836.

Direct-fit cats are quite pricey, though some feel the cost will even out once you have to pay for the work to cut & paste the universal in your system.

According to carsound dot com, there is not a direct-fit cat system currently available for your year.

Well, you need to have somewhere to put your second O2 sensor. From the sounds of things, you are planning to chop out the whole section from the cat through the resonator. In that case, YES, you will need to get one with an O2 bung.

Keep in mind that some people have found the tone without the resonator to be more harsh than they like, but exhaust tone is one of those things that is in the ear of the beholder. I mention this, since IIRC you mentioned that you are driving long highway distances on a regular basis.

the highflow cat will do very little for the sound, it may change a bit, but aith an otherwise stock exhaust, it wont make much difference.
