Default installed my custom CAI.....magnaflow and cat in 2 days!!!

i put on my CAI about a week and a half ago. to be honest, not as much increase in sound and feel as i had hoped. used the autozone pipe and a k&n 0810, which is WAY too big for my available space. i think i'll order a smaller filter soon. my air box looks like crap, but it seems to be functional. i wrapped the whole box and pipe in foam/foil insulation tape. magnaflow is going on thursday, and i'm gutting the cat also. any tips/things to look out for? also where can i post pics, i want you guys' opinions on how i did it.

truthfully i don't think it'* all that much louder. there'* a definite difference, but it wasn't the drastic increase i was hoping for. MAF screen has been removed, the car sounds like its sucking a TON of air on startup but then it quiets down. maybe i'm a little jaded by my buddy'* 4.6 v8 t-bird motor; he put the rice pipe on his too, and it sounds really ballsy now. the v6 just doesn't roar the same. so i dunno. i'd like to compare it to someone else'* sometime to see if i did it right. anybody near eastern iowa?

and yes, an 0810 is overkill in my bonnie.... if only it were like our '95 olds 88 and didn't have the PCM right behind the headlight :(

Trust me, angle that pipe correctly and you can get a big filter in there. Just takes some time and work. You will for sure have to cut the pipe and get a flexible coupler to fit over the TB. I know from experience on my 97 also.

Please don't gut the cat. You just might lose some torque, not sound as good, and not to mention what you'll do to the air we breathe.

Go here for magnaflow hi-flo cats for only $44:

Go to his eBay store. Everything you need.
