Check the tip of the spark plug. Some have a screw on tip and they can come loose.

What do you all think could it possibly be the igniton coil..or is that what it is called...my mechanic thinks that is the problem since he changed out all the wires and plugs even in #2 cylinder. I hope this fixes the car...Does it sound reasonable to use an ignition coil to fix a misfire on cylinder #2

Yes.

I would suggest that you listen to your mechanic and learn to trust him/her, or trust the gearheads in this forum.

We've given you guidance and direction here, that for the most part goes un-noticed or un-heeded. You then go to your mechanic and get his/her diagnosis and then come back here for a second opinion, which happens to be one of the original suggestions we offered here.

We want to get that car of yours running right and lots of us want to help. When you come here and ask for help, please accept that as professional help and use it. You've batted us back and forth with so many problems and suggestions from your mechanic on what to do, that most of us are at a loss where you are at getting things fixed.

If you want help here, please start a new thread on a specific topic. Let us help you work it until its corrected, then move on to the next one. But, you've got to let us know if what we suggested worked or not as well...many of the corrective paths we send you down require several steps to find the cause and the right corrective action to resolve.

Stinger357. This thread is now locked. We've all lost our ways in trying to help you...there are too many issues in this thread and we don't know whats been fixed or not and what the current state of your needs are.

Please post any new problems in a new thread, work out those issues and let us know when you have or if you need more help with that particular issue. Then let'* move on to the next one.
