With common tools, and help from us, you can do most of that in your driveway.

Well I took my car to autozone to read the service engine soon light for free. It said coolant temp is low or not cooling somthing like that..P108 I believe. We added antifreeze to the radiator and the resevoir and the light is still on. We did notice the coolant we put in the radiator did not circulate like it is supposed to after about 15 min. If you squeeze the hose to the radiator it should be hard with liquid and it was soft and spongy. So is there something wrong with my radiator? let me know guys. The coolant guage is working good and it never gets above 200 so the engine is staying cool.

What temp does it read? My guess is the thermostat is stuck open so the engien is always cooling, so it wont heat up. The PCM will throw a SES light because it'* not heating up as fast as it expects.

what is a UIM/LIM I never heard those before. How expensive are they to replace if a shop does it.

The shop wants 150 for the replacment of the thermostat and sensor.

First, a thermostat is under $10, and takes about 30 mins to do. https://www.gmforum.com/mechanical-134/installing-new-thermostat-278803/

The UIM, you don't have one. a LIM is Lower Intake manifold.
