Alrighty gentlemen, back on track here,

Silver that'* good to hear the ZZP is going to ship you a new unit at no cost, also good to hear you recomend it still. Want to know more about it when you get it in.

Hey Todd, so when you got your pcm, intense just flashed it correct? didn't need to remove it, I take it this is done using the obd-2 port than probably with a tech 2 I'm guessing. So done this way dosen't need a case learn then. Just trying to get this straight here.

We did not remove the pcm, flashed it through the OBD-II port using a laptop and a proprietary cable. Took about 2 minutes. No CASE, no security issues.

Silver, glad to hear DHP is taking care of you. Sometimes I feel us Bonneville guys get the backburner

Just a quick update for everyone...

We are now shipping PCM'* for the 2000 and 2002 SSEi, and plan to have the 2001 SSEi PCM completed next week.

Well, DHP did leave me cold.
They never did ship a replacement.
They want me to "check" it myself using the AutoTap I have and send them a log......without a laptop computer yet.....too many other expenses to get one right now. :(
I've been so busy at work that I haven't had any time to play with it.
The car runs real well but there is still a speed limiting dead spot at 90 mph if I accelerate from a stop and it won't go over 130 mph. :? .....even with the Case learn.
I just haven't played with it in a while, wife does most of the driving, so it can wait....for now.
Maybe I'll have to switch brands for an Intense unit later this year.
I've been kind of hoping that the computer will teach itself.
Still enjoy the better acceleration in the city and higher shift points but it ain't no quarter mile car.

That sucs man. You should look at it pretty soon though, dont want DHP saying you waited to long to do anything about it. Maybe you can return it if it doesnt work out? Worse case you could use it as a core for an INTENSE PCM down the road...

Hope you get it worked out...

BTW no abuse mode (turning off torque management) is a pretty nice thing. No more pulling timing after spinning the tires for a second or two. However, im not sure the tranny is going to like me abusing the no abuse mode
