Intense PCM installed

Good to hear it worked out for you PDad.
I don't understand how it shifted into 3rd coming out of 2nd at 6000 rpm and you were only doing 75. :?
You said that you were on and off the throttle. Yes mine will accelerate that way too but my problem happens when I stay wide open constantly. Have you tried a 1/4 mi simulation run yet ?
The highway around here just isn't long enough for sustained 140 + mph runs.
I have to get away for a motoring trip soon.
Hurry up and get yours done too Taylor and tell me how it performs.
Hey Scott.........my Vin is 1G2HZ541XY4201213 but I can't decide if I want to send in my original PCM, the DHP PCM or get another unit direct from you. :?:
Maybe if I send in the original unit it would be a good comparison and I wouldn't have to get another case learn and I could always get it reflashed back to original by the dealer....if I ever had a lapse in sanity.
.........or maybe I just may break down and get a laptop to make use of my AutoTap.
with the pedal mashed the tach once again climbed to 6000 rpm and the tranny slid into third (going about 75 now).

Well the weather has finally turned warm again and I got the car up to temp today and guess what? The fans run on for 3 minutes after the ignition is turned off Too cool
Another observation, when running at 60 mph and you stomp on it, the car is very responsive and seems to jump up and pulls hard. The torque steer is very noticeable but smooths out quickly.

Bad news, just started raining.

I feel for you.
When I did mine, the weather was the same.
I just came back from a sunset cruise. The roads were dry. The rubber smell is still hanging in the garage.
I love when it drops down into 1st gear and the tires spin up to 5800 rpm, then a moment of torque steer after kicking into 2nd before sanity kicks in. There are two new ghost cars in town.....and a lot of tourists.
Still not sure I like all this power in a front wheel drive. :?
The same hill that I climb to work every morning in my Firebird can easily be crested at full throttle at about 75 mph without event but in the Bonne, both tires spin as the front end unloads.....not a good feeling at 75 mph with dry roads to break traction like that.
I'm hoping that when I install the lowered coil overs next year, it will help this problem.

So I just have to say that my new INTENSE PCM is great! Thank you Scott and Todd.
Car is running like a beast now. The 6K shifts with the rockers is amazing! Huge difference Vs. Stock PCM. The midrange power is quite nice so is non-WOT acceleration. Shifts are nice a crisp, even with the shiftkit, 1-2 is nice and firm.
Can't wait till my TOG'* go in in 2 weeks along with a 3.2.

Glad you like it, how did you like the security procedure I had to do mine twice. Quite the feeling wondering if you car is ever going to start again, heh. Wait until it learns over the next few days and then get that bad boy to the track

It is a good idea the GM engineers had to delay someone stealing your car by using another PCM.

I actually didn't watch most of the Security learn, just the Security light was flashing for a while, I just set the timer on my phone and went inside and played on the computer for ten minutes a crack.
I wanted to goto the track real soon to see the differences with the PCM, cause I know at my last track visit I was deffinitly hitting Tourqe managment the whole time cause my times where way to consistant and high. Bad news is that I have to work nights this weekend so Can't go, and next week going in for stereo work, than that weekend my headers go in, I've got time to go to the track that week though, so the changes will be PCM and TOG'* and probably have a 3.2 on. Maybe I'll slap that on at the track just for fun. Yeah think I'll do that in the pits.
Car is learning quite nicely, last night my girlfriend was holding on there, she always trust my driving, but she was quite supprised of the differences, mainly the 6K shifting with the rockers, seems like it'* pulling way harder and for longer.

I agree Taylor. There is something very intoxicating and exciting about the high pitched whine in combination with the 6000 rpm snarl.
I always get ooohs and ahhhs from the kids in the back seat whenever I wind her out.
.....and screeches from my wife to slow down.
