First key got stuck, then no power at all
Hi guys,
I know my car is not a bonneville, but it is has a 3800 engine anyway.
My 2000 buick regal LS suddenly acts up today. First, the key got stuck in the ignition. Afer some research,I was able to release the key by triggering the key release lever behind the steering column.
Then I found the car won't start. The symptom is that the engine will crank, but not fire. I would not expect any deficency in starter, fuel et al as car runs
beatifully before this hapens. I did remove the battery for a test at autozone. battery is fine and is recharged. Afeter I put back battery, things get even worse, no power at all!
Please help! I am totally lost. Where should start? Adjust shift cable first?

the regals do have it, the 2000 is based off the 1997.5 model which is why things are slightly outdated on them like a VATS system with a resistor in the key

It sounds like a Security issue with the car.
Is the Security light on at all? Is it on steady or is it flashing?
Maybe you have two issues.
Have you checked fuel psi, or spark?
