Default Factory Audio System

I have a 2002 Bonneville SLE that got t-boned and totaled. I like Bonneville'* so I found a super nice one not to far from me that I bought for a replacement car which is also a 2002 SLE.

They are an exact match but the replacement car does not have the steering wheel audio controls. That is the only difference between the cars, they are identical other than this feature.

Can I remove the leather steering wheel with the audio controls from my totaled Bonneville and install that steering wheel on my replacement Bonneville ?

Is their a specific wiring harness for the controls that my new Bonneville is lacking that is needed to change it over ? The radios look identical, does the stereo need changed out as well ?

Thx

You would have to get the audio system schematics and find the single wire from the steering wheel to the HU.
alldatadiy.com if you pay for the one year subscription will give you everything you want to know about your car. I use it all the time.
