I love my "new" 2000 SSEi- in fact just got back from a 1000 mile trip (500 yesterday, 500 today) and would LOVE another inch of drivers leg room.

Is there any type of adjustment on the set track, Power seat motor, etc to give me that inch?

Carl, to my knowledge there is no way to gain that extra inch through adjustment. Now, if you remove the seat, give it close inspection, you may be able to find a way to modify/fabricate a way to gain that extra inch. i thought the same , the seat has 4 bolts, it may be possible to do some fabrication relocating the brackets .If memory recalls the front brackets may not be a flush bracket, I think it fits in the form of the floor.

yes, thew front brackets are at a 60 or so degree angle fit to the floor, and the rear brackets are flush.

If you do this mod, please let us know how it turns out.

it has always bothered me how FAR FORWARD we can move our seats - like ANYONE could sit that close to the dash.

It would be interesting to move the seats back an inch or so - especially the passenger seat.

Anyone else have tall friends who look like their knees are in the glove box even with the seat all the way back?

Does the 2000 Bonneville have the same seat travel as a 2000 LeSabre? I had always assumed they were the same. The reason why I ask is because my LeSabre has a lot of room in the driver'* seat. I'm 74 inches tall, and my legs are in a very relaxed, stretched out position while I'm driving. If I was anymore comfortable, I'd fall asleep.

My wife had a 99 Lasabre and at 76' inches I know what your saying. I have an old injury that badly affects my right kneecab ( I should say whats left of it) and on long trips the GXP gets to it being up against the dash. Sooner or later I am going to move my seat brackets back.

FloorDry there is no adjustment but moving the brackets back shouldnt be a real major project if your into a little slicing and dicing
