Well it is at the dealership now and i hope to get it back early tomorrow.
2000SilverBullet - i don't use the window all that much - especially the rear windows! i use alot of A/C and the sun roof, i don't like the wind noise with the windows down.
ALL FOUR of my window motors have failed - i hope for the rest of you that this is JUST my car, but i doubt it from what i have read of others experiences.
the service department the guy even joked with me that at least all of them are replaced now :?
that would be fine if i wasn't dreading the next 30K miles until the next motor failure. :(

The design was failure in the making...
The older units have a plastic retainer for the cable that moves the window.... Usually the plastic retainer will snapp and the cable will pull through the retainer causing the window to fall... I believe replacement/ along with the newer models got a metal retainer... If it has the metal retainer, I believe the only other failure may be a cable failure... I have seen the cables frey apart on some of the N and W bodies..

Windows
From what I've been told from the Dealer is that the "window Regulators" they are currently designing have been reingenered 3 times. So if these dont outlast your vehicle they will "deffinately" last longer that the first ones.
