Another window motor bites the dust!
Well, today as i was parking my car at home after enjoying the 70 deg weather here in Dayton, i heard a pretty significant snap-crackle-pop from the passenger window as i was trying to put the power window up and i wasn't eating cereal! My front passenger side window motor broke - at least that is what i think. It is at the dealer now - one i have complained about in the past, but they fired the service manager and the attendant that i had issues with in the past so i thought i would give them a second (third really) chance - so, i will find out tomorrow. if it is the power window motor that extended warranty (although now i hear they are calling it an advanced maintenance agreement or some such nonesense) is going to finally pay for itself.
this will be the third power window motor that has broken in my car. i have already had to replace the driver motor and the rear driver side motor. my car has 66K on it. anyone else have this type of trouble with their power windows? i would hate to think at 120K i am going to have to replace them all again, especially at the $200 or so dollars each. i sure hope if the other one is going to break it does it in the next 10K before my warranty expires!

Geeeees I hear this a lot about our years and Im wondering if maybe
the problem happened on my ride before I bought it. I hope.
good luck at the dealers.

So you've actually had the motors burn up? The common problem is the cables breaking and the rear windows not staying up themselves. That is common GM though to have power window motor problems...I guess all you can do is replace them and hope the new ones last longer I guess.

usually me knowing that my Aurora has the same parts as a Bonneville is a good thing. But the same window regulators is something I hope I don't have.
We haven't yet had issues with either of our 2000 Bonnevilles. (knocks on wood.) One is at 52K miles and the other is at 64k miles.

at 10k both my rear windows regulators went out, took it in and had them replace all my regulators and motors.. told them the front 2 were making some weird noise... havent had a problem since! *knocks on head..err wood)
