Default 2000 Engine Top Cover Removal

Don't have a shop manual yet for the "new" '01 w/ SC. Need to know how to R/M the plastic cover over top of engine. Looks like two attaching points. One is the nut on top of the cover; the other must be at the oil filler tube. Does the tube just pull out or unscrew, or what? Looks obvious but that tube does not move with normal pressure. Would hate to break that puppy off!

Thanks

Unscrew the oil filler tube by turning counter clockwise. Once you also have the nut removed from the top you can remove the cover by lifting the front and then pulling forward slightly to clear the retaining bracket in the back.

Cheers,

Push down a little on the oil filler neck when you twist it.
