I'm with the group with the Anco blades. I'm also with BillBoost on the Rain-X. It does wonders in the summer especially during heavy rains, and seems to help in the winter with making it easier to scrape the ice off the windshield.

i will put another +1 on the rain-x its definately worth trying and it works wonders, a lot of times you wont even need your wipers on. Ice and snow on your window are not a problem either it slides off just like rain. Rain-x is good stuff. I also used the anti-fog stuff on the windows too and that helped out cuz my windows used to fog up like crazy.

probably true..idaho car all its life..is there any way to adjust the main mechanism or linkage since both of them are about 1.5" or 2" off from going in the holders?

My 97 SLE does that.

It sounds like it slipped a tooth in the wiper motor gearbox. At any rate do what Bill Buttermore suggested, that is about the only fix. I use oem replacement elements which to me are the best. Most of the other brands except Anco seem to squeak alot, lousy wipes etc.

My wiper blades would always stutter over the glass until I got Teflon wiper blades. Napa and Pep Boys and Autozone carry them, but none of them actually had our size in stock. I had Napa order them for me. I think they're Anco brand. Since I've gone to Teflon I'm never going back.

I don't use anything on my windshield at all, like RainX. I just use Windex and newspapers to clean my windows.
