my car has the same problem what do i do i tought it was the starter n still wont start n were do you get a resister

any electroics store like radio shack or radio repair shop take your key with you have them measure the resistance to get the right one

Yea I measured my key, and went to a small electronics supply store called B&E electronics lol. He found me a set of resistors that matched the range of my key. I had to cut a wire (fat orange wire(the one in the soft rubbery sheath)) If memory serves (double check!!) then you just have to wire the resistors into the line, and shrink tube or tape it up.
Worked like a charm for me man, I hope it does you as well.

Does this fix if it'* your ignition switch is bad also?

No it wont fix a bad ignition switch, it only bypasses the pellet in the key.
