Wanted to say thanks to everyone for help you did and didnt
I have just gotten to the point that i honestly cant pour anymore money and time into this thing lol i missed 2 days of work and finally got the problem figured out and the computer replaced and 2 days later the engine started knocking, i crawled under it and listened from the pan and sure enough she is getting ready to blow a rod bearing. Well i am pretty sure its a rod and not a main because it is a slower rythem of clatter than i would figure a main would give. I pulled the plates off of it yesterday and im looking really really hard at a 95 olds 98 regency, (ok now my sorrow turns to frustration and anger lol) this little pontiac just couldnt hang as a daily driver. i know im used to much more performance and probably pushed it too hard trying to make it follow in the foot steps of the vehical it replaced
lol the car it replaced 2 years ago was a 92 chrysler fifth ave. naw all kidding aside i think i just got a lemon this thing has only 89000 miles it had just had a gm rebuilt transmission when i got it and i paid top dollar cause i had always wanted a bonnie, lol well now i have had one and it was bitter sweet indeed. i do have one final question for you gurus since this olds 98 has a pontiac built 3.8... could i swap manifolds and toss my */c in it *evil grin* and to the best of anyones knowledge.... does oldsmobile put all of their relays and most of their wireing under the carpet with a sign on it that says "moisture collect here" ? lol
