there is a orfiss tube that has a screen on it, once the screen breaks, to much fluid is going into the pump or shutoff valve for the torque convertor lockup

its prolly a $5 part, and about 10-12 hours labor.

Andrew, what makes you think he was talking about the MAF screen, LOL! Looks to me like you're both talking about the same thing. Good info though...

I once took my Buick valve body out and brought it to the tranny shop for parts.
Its all acessable by only removing the side pan while the tranny is still in the car.
How many hrs labor did he charge? That could be the culprit.
