If the ring pattern is different at all, which I think it is, it won't run properly, if at all.

It'* the wrong balancer...which is another problem. Pete and I found his seemed to be the correct ring placement compared with other years..but the balance was off.

Has the 95 flywheel that it came with, should I try transplanting the 92 interruptor rungs into the 95 balancer or is that mission impossible? The two rungs are spaced further on the 95 balancer but I still have the matching crank sensor - I could try reinstalling it first, maybe the 92 PCM will still run with it?

I guess I'll download a ALDL OBD1 program for the laptop and find out if the knock retard is causing the hesitation - yes, using the 92 pressure regualtor and MAF

If you are in doubt, pull the balancer and place the two side by side and examine the ring notches very carefully for position relative to the key notch in the center hole.

You need to match the year of the engine and the correct balancer. The balance shaft, flywheel and HB are all designed to work in harmony. If one is different. Best of luck.

I believe the crank is the same from 92-95 in terms of the balancer fitting on it. Why not switch to the right balancer and leave the rings intact. (Yes.. MI by the way)

Your 92 PCM will not work with the 95 balancer and crank sensor. Put the 92 balancer on the car.
