Default 1997 l67 swap into 1994 ssei

Wonder if anyone has any information on putting a 1997 L67 engine in a 1994 supercharged bonneville. I have a complete 1997 Supercharged engine with supercharger and throttle body, wiring harness, brackets and pulleys, and computer. I want to put it in my 1994 Bonneville ssei. Has anyone ever done this that could offer some help :?: :?: Thanks, Marc

Tell me you got the trans, too. The 97 was the first year for the 4T65E(HD). The computer you got won't know what to do with your 4T60E(HD).

Default l67 swap

No I do not have the transmission. Are you saying it will not work with the transmission I have in now? Also I would really like to hear from someone that has actually done the swap.

Try www.l67swap.com

They're kindof a companion site for us. Tell 'em we sent you

You will need that trans to go with the 97 computer. The harness is different. More electronics in the 65 series.

I can make the computer work with a 4t60-e but you will have to beef up the transaxle to take the new power...so why not swap all of it. Or you can spend about 2500.00 on a stronger 4t60-e/HD.

Is it same as a 95? Put a 95 in my 93ssei. Kept 93 computerand harness. Had to put some of the sensors from 93 on the 95 engine. Connections were different. Worked fine.

93 and 95 used the same transmission. 94 and 97 don't.
