Well, we're sticking to the plan of hitting in in February. That'* the next time that I'm going to have money in the budget to give it another whack. In the mean time, I'm trying to find out the viability of using a t65 valve body and pump, as they should be a bit more durable and cheaper to boot. I'll provide updates as available.

I did the drop from below and it was extensive in the sense that I had to remove lower ball joints, subrame, mounts. From the top might be easier.

That being said, it looks like I'll be following this thread too as I may need to rebuild and hey, it could be fun. I am wondering though how far in you have to go to get to the pump as that "might" be my only issue.

The pump can be accessed with the side cover and the valve body removed. You do need to lower the subframe, or at least the left side of the subframe.

How the hell do you lower the left side of a subframe??

Would be easier to just lower the trans and engine through the bottom and remove the pan.

You cannot get the trans out the bottom without splitting the subframe. It does come apart.

Mark...certain years the subframe split. I believe it was up until about 2000 (probably mistaken though)
