Check the spark plugs and wires, sounds like a missfire after warm up?

Hey gearheads, what do you think about a leaky FPR flooding his intake after shutdown?

I'm no gear head and correct me if i'm wrong, but my moms car does the same thing. She was told it was a bad crankshaft position sensor. I don't think it'* completely bad, i don't know what the crap is wrong with it... just want the mechanic told us. The car only runs bad for about 30secs after you start it up. It'll idel bad, then sometimes die for about the first 30 secs. I was told once the engine gets in sequence it will run fine.

Like i said.. i'm no gearhead, just reminds me of a problem my mom had.

She drives a 91 or 92 bonnie by the way. I don't remeber which.

How did you pull the codes? You need a scantool to do that...

On OBDI you don't need a scantool. IIRC you can short two pins with a paper clip to pull the codes. Not to mention he has already said numerous times that his dad is a mechanic, so I'm sure he has a Tech I or some other form of scantool.

The last year of the 'flash' feature (shorting two pins) was also the last year of the Electronic Climate Control panel diagnostics. 1993.

1994 and up require a scantool, so I'm sure that'* what he did.
