Struts.............

Ever considered doing some KYB H body coil overs? Adjustable spring rate and ride height i believe. Better then any stock strut/spring combo, but again atleast $1000 just for them...
Otherwise i'm a fan of adjustability.
My big question is do all bonnevilles have dampers for struts or are some of them sprung?

the online ac delco catalog has a cross reference to the gm part numbers (at least the one i have access to does, yours should too)... much cheaper this way. at least the 150 a pop. don't know that i'd pay over 300 a pop for a strut...
<edit> okay, i checked, and the acdelco.com catalog doesn't have the cross ref. available. you guys also can't check parts on 2005 vehicles. didn't know that either. if you guys need any more x-refs, let me know

When my dad went to the dealer to get them for his Ultra they pulled out a bulletin that said not to sell the CCR struts and that GM would not support that system anymore. I was not there, so I don't know the whole story. Just what my dad told me.
But after we found out they were $300 + anyway, he went with the reflexes.

Let me rephrase this.....they WERE discontinued. It'* been verified numerous times. It looks as if they're back in business, but honestly the CCR system is so unreliable, it'* not worth the time or money.

just lettin you guys know if you're really that interested, you can gmpartsdirect it, or let your dealer know that you *can* get them, as SPO has them in stock...
that said, a nice pair of sub-100 dollar struts sounds good. actually, i'm in the market for those as well...

Not a bad price to retain stock form. I mean the CCR struts last on average what 8-10 years? But then the whole system has problems not just the struts....
Maybe they're updated?

I've seen failed CCR'* alot earlier than 8-10 years. I'd challenge you to find a car older than 96 with a good CCR system. That'* why GM stopped using them on new production.
Sound off here if you have CCR, whether it'* working or not, and the year of your car.
