OK this I know my 94 did the very same thing for some time. after 749.00 and replacing all kinds of goodies the same thing kept happening so I read up on it and all trails lead to the pcm so I go to auto zone drop 135.00 install it my self (( real easy )) and problem solved. special note if you do this your self be sure to remove the PROM from the PCM you'll be needing that.

My 95 Bonneville will run without stalling until the fuel gauge gets to about 1/2 empty. Then I can only drive it a short distance before it stalls. If I touch the accelerator very gently it wont stall (unless I put on the brake or make a hard right turn). This use to happen only when it was almost empty. Now it happens when it is about 1/2 empty. Between 1/2 and full, the fuel gauge will sometimes swing wildly. After several times of this happening the same way, I just fill it up at 1/2 tank and it quits stalling. When I fill it at 1/2 tank, it will take about 10 gallons and my tank only holds about 16 gallons. I am contemplating replacing the sending unit and slosh unit. This began after I filled up with some dirty gas in Louisiana. Then, even with a full tank it would stall on the highway after driving about five minutes. Now it has happened a second time after filling up in Louisiana (at a different station). I wonder if there is a lot of dirty gas there. And I wonder if there is a lot of dirt still in my tank that clogs the sending unit when the tank gets low.

In your case it sounds like it may be fuel pump related. Please check the fuel pressure when the car is warmed up and has run for a while with the fuel level around the half mark. The pump relies on fuel to cool it, being submersed near the bottom of the tank, it begins to get exposed about half a tank and could get warmer as fuel levels drop.

Another commonly overlooked item for you guys stalling with a tough time replicating the issue is the ground busses inside the driver and passenger front door frames. Pull back the carpet and find the wire loom that runs down the side of the car. There is a recangular item taped to the loom. This is the ground buss..make sure both sides are clean and free of corrosion. Some of the grounds include fuel pump etc. Some members have actually kicked their floors to keep the car running.

Another sympton to add to my list. My 95 Bonnie bogs down when I try to accelerate too quickly. When it tries to downshift to 2nd gear, all I get is an increase in RPM and then the RPM backs down to 3rd gear range. Today is the first time I've tried to do it several times and the first time I idle at a light, the car dies. I think I accelerated the heat-up process. The tank is about 3/4 full (alluding back to my last message). Could it be a tranny problem or maybe a governor problem, or perhap you still think it is the fuel pump?
