It'* a few seconds after it comes down from 1500. It doesn't really hold any rpm on the way, just kinda slows down and dies.

The MAF is the one I've been using for a while with a fresh cleaning.

My son'* '99 GP was having some similar problems although I don' t think it revved quite that high. A while later, it stumbled and quit on his way to work. Would act like it would start, ran about a second and shut down. Turned out to be a bad MAF.

Swapped the MAF, no change, made a gasket for the PCV cover, no change...
