Lucky? H*** yeah I have been. I'm surprised the car hasn't blown up, and taken me with it.

When I removed my Flex pipe( EGR ) on my 91 I had to be very careful.... It was almost siezed on there... I sprayed it with PB blaster I think, and moved on to a few other items and came back to it.... Otherwise it may have been broken in my aggrivation...

My new one is supposed to be here today with the rest of my gaskets. Otherwise, not until the 5th, and I won't have much to do this weekend other than touch-up paint and buffing out the hood.
The new part was 40-something yesterday.....bought alot of little stuff so I'm not sure. It'* cast iron with the flex pipe pressed in.
On a side note
the coolant bypass fitting sold at the dealer is steel. Not aluminum like most other sources. It can be drilled for better flow to match the inside of the LIM coolant ports and the ID of the hose.

Put an alt and Battery in the car. I've got a vacuum leak on the TB end somewhere so I'm loping a little, But she runs damned good. Goodyear Viva 2'* don't stand a chance against this torque. MMTB will go back on with a little secret testing thing here soon.
Also a thing you guys should watch out for, My new EGR baseplate came from one car and my EGR another, the baseplate was warped and cracked my EGR valve. Try to find that when there'* no carbon on the crack yet...

Well... My car is off the road for a while. I broke a thing that I made... and I think it'll cost about $600 to replace. I'm borrowing a buddies beater truck.
