Spark retard...
For the last few days I've been hearing what sounds like valve clatter at partial throttle....so I hooked up the Autoxray, and I'm getting 16 degrees knock retard at partial throttle! It'* done this once before...but went away. Anybody else run into anything like this?

Wow yeah thats pretty bad...Check the sparkplugs for wear and proper heat range. I'd stay away from platinum if replacing. Also check the fuel pressure, EGR operation, and MAF cleanliness.
Keep in mind though, the knock sensor can pick up unrelated noises and count it as knock.
