Default Several problems, probably all related

So I just got a 1997 Bonneville SSE about a month ago and have found a few things that bother me. First off I do not know the previous owner so have no history on the car. When I bought it there was no key fob included. I since bought one off of ebay, but cannot get it programed, I can get it into program mode, but the fob just does not get recognized. Even replaced the battery. The numbers on the back of the fob are GM/UTA: 25668603 FCC ID: KOBUTIBT CANADA: 1983 101 393. Can anyone tell me if these are right to start with. The security light is always on. I lock the car by hitting the lock button inside and the alarm goes off randomly. Anyone have any ideas?

you have seen this? http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...hlight=keyless

check the module in the truck to make sure your FCC number matches the one on your remote. it should be located on the back of the rear seat.

I just went and looked in the trunk and could not find a module anywhere. Could it be possible that this car would not have keyless? I just could not imagine, it has every other option.

check your RPO sheet on the spare tire cover for AU0 - lock control, remote entry

my bad, the module is under the dash on the 92-99, its in the trunk in 00+

Well turns out it has the AU1 instead of AU0. However, it does not have an electronic opening gas filler. I guess the Keyless was an option. I just find it hard to believe that a car with HUD, drivers and passengers power leather seats, and bose sound system does not have keyless entry.

I didn't realize that was an option. Never really looked into it though.
