Removing Starter

Your car originally came with a Gear reduced.. The direct drive will work in place of the Gear reduced..
When I have a starter die I find a Gear reduced on E-Bay and use it as a replacement.. As a matter of fact I have a 3800 with a weak starter, and I will get another gear reduced unit to replace the direct drive...
I think most of the 3800'* that were supercharged used the gear reduced for more torque iirc..
They make the same amount of power per say, but the gear reduced in more than most cases for any car will have more force to spin the engine over...
Again.... I want to make it clear that a Direct drive will work in place of the gear reduced..
And I have also used the gear reduced in place of the Direct drive..... So its either or

Well that seems right. They both look the same bolt wise and size and whatnot. I still don't know why autozone don't sell a gear reduced. Maybe just my region.
