Power? Never been on a dyno. But I've run my numbers with my gearing, and also calculated my BSFC numbers, and everything comes out to 310-325. Stock injectors in our S1 L67'* are supposed to support 320hp at 4.0bar (which is the pressure I'm running them at).

But that'* misleading. The S1 makes ALL it'* power on the bottom end. Put that same horsepower in a S2 that shifts at a higher RPM, and you get better 1/4 mile times.

Sounds like you deserve a payoff from that gas station....

so with my car at 154,700 miles would it be safe to removed heads and cam and install a new camshaft and pick up another set of heads from a salvage yard and port them and have the local machine shop rework them and then port match intake also. or would it put to much stress on the bottom end and blow it out.

You will not blow the bottom end out unless you do something stupid.

If you have a machine shop do your porting and matching, you'll have two problems:

1. You have to tell them HOW. They have no experience with your motor.
2. You'll have to pay them for their time.

We need a MUCH better idea of your REALISTIC budget, and what your goals are. I'd hate to see you spend 5k not knowing what you want, and still have to pop another $2k into your trans (you will) when it'* all done.

i have about 1000 i can spend. each month. after bills. i want to make a good street car. good mid to upper end. i want to run atleast an 9.0 in the 1/8 mile if possible.

A turbo will definetly give the highest numbers once you get into the multiple 1000'* of dollars. You will need to find someone who can tune for your PCM setup.

Fabrication will also need to be important. Just welding a turbo to std manifolds isn't good, they need to be BUILT.

Turbos do not have to be "laggy" either. Properly sized housings and turbines are key to any good setup...

I wouldn't do a custom turbo setup unless you knew what you were doing with everything. Read up in books if that'* what you want. The pre-fab kits are good for 3800'* but only for S2..

like I said......

i saw somewhere that the 1985 riviera came with a turbo option. i wonder what that setup is like and if it would work. atleast the exhaust manifolds
