Default Problems with my 92 SSEi (aka 92 SSEi HUD question)

Hi all...
I'm a newb and have a newb question

I just bought a '92 SSEi tonight and on the testdrive I noticed the HUD was displaying in KPH and not MPH. I pushed the little button on the HUD controls and it went briefly to MPH but back to KPH. I tried holding it in (like that would help... long shot lol) and it made no difference like I expected. haha

I am pretty sure the car has no manual (I'll ask the guy I bought it from tomorrow when I pick it up) so I figure you would be the people to ask...

How do I get it to MPH and make it stay?

Oh, and how easy (and expensive) is it to get replacement keyfobs for the remote entry/alarm doodads?

Thanks guys!

on edit: I tried search and didn't come up with anything :(

Probably a switch problem. PM sse for me, he might have a switch, or post in WANTED for one.

You just bought it, it may have been sitting for awhile. Some of the options that are funky MAY start working as you use them for the next several days. I noticed that with both of my cars.

Techinfo will tell you how to get the PCM codes without a scantool. 93 was the last year for that feature, so you have it.

Something going on in the trunk? Can you describe the actual warning? Low fuel? 3rd brake light? Taillight?

My car was the same way....A lil quirky and the HUD would work intermittantly then it just kinda smoothed out....still has it'* moments on other things though :?

Cool, thanks man! I'll check that section out.

I figured out today that it was low fuel. It was a box in the trunk lit up on the info center... Me no comprende the fancy stuff yet. lol

I also just had it tell me that my 3rd brake light is out. You ever heard of a light bulb causing a dead short or some kind of power drain?

I also need to get the assorted cords/hoses for the airpump in the trunk. :?

The light probably isn't even out...just another GM innovation that flopped.

And your air pump is under the hood.
