Should I use the rubber intake gasket ends or throw them out and use a nice bead of Ultra Black instead? Thanks!
use them, and put a nice glob of ulta black at the ends where the cross pieces and gaskets meet. That will also help hold them in place when you put the LIM back on.

The primary spot for the seals to leak is in each corner where the LIM, heads, and block meet. Use a small dab above and below (in that corner), all 4 corners.

Consider sending your failed UIM to Bob Dillon to be sleeved and given to another needy member. He'll pay shipping.

I didn't question you on the heads, as you sounded confident and sure of yourself in your first post. But I have to tell you I've seen only 2 head gasket failures on this forum of 5000 members in 3 years. And one of those was questionable.
