Default power window motor brushes ??

i know everyone is familiar with the power window motors going "bad". BUT, does anyone know where to get brushes for them? All that really goes bad in them are the brushes, they get worn out and get gummed up and don't work anymore. I"m looking for a place to just buy replacement brushes. Does anyone know a part number or supplier or anything for this??

I have repaired several "non-repairable" motors by replacing worn bushings on the armature shafts and/or replacing the brushes. I go to a local sewing machine/ vacuum cleaner repair shop for the parts. You need to find an older shop that has some parts inventory. If you can get the old motor apart without destroying it, take the brushes in and see what kind of match you can make. I have had pretty good luck doing this.

Otherwise, just try a junkyard for a replacement motor or for the parts you need.

Junk yard is a great suggestion.
