Default 2002 Bonneville: Blower motor brushes

Has anyone found a source for the brushes in a 2002 Bonneville'* blower motor?

Mine is the Dong Jin blower (Korean) that has the metal motor and mounting flange, and the cooling tube.
I believe the Dong Jin p/n for the motor is: 52495945.

Later, Joe

I have the same blower in my 2002 buick lesabre custom. I'm looking for a replacement.

if you are just looking for a replacement they list them on rockauto. not many rebuild them anymore though i doubt you will get just brushes

Thanks for the reply sir, I'm not sure which to order there are a lot listed:

2002 BUICK LESABRE Blower Motor

ACDELCO 1580511 looks close, but the Alternate/OEM Part Number(*) are 1580457, 52495944, 88957445, 89018521 and mine is 52495945. Plus it'* $145.

This one TYC 700110 is under 40 bucks, but its plastic not metal, I don't really care as long as it is compatible.

well if they list it as being able to work then it should. the difference may be the ease of installation, sometimes you have to modify or adjust cheaper parts to make them fit

Default 2002 Bonneville: Blower motor brushes (Revisited)

I thought I'd update my thread about blower motor brushes...
Three years ago I cleaned the brushes and their mounts, put the motor back together and re-installed it. It'* been running fine ever since !!! (Hope I didn't just jinx it)

How did you hold the brushes in to reinstall the case?

Hmmm... Too long ago to remember.
I don't remember tearing any hair out at the time so it must not have been too painful.
