Default power steering hoses

i need new power steering hoses, and i am looking at the GMPD website, and it'* asking me if i have variable steering or not...they're slightly different part numbers. i looked at a different thread about reading the RPO codes....is that how i find out if i have "variable steering" or not? and if so, which RPO code means what

Glued to the top of your spare tire cover you should find a build sheet with the RPO codes specific to your car. RPO means regular production option, I think. In Techinfo you will find a list of RPO codes and what they represent. From this you may be able to determine which steering option you have.

From the RPO list in techinfo, I found:
NV8 - steering, magnetic speed, variable assist
T2V - steering, two flow electronic
